Located on the same lot as the Charles Rundle Mansion, The Edward Gallow Esq. Mansion was built by Charles Rundle on spec for Gallow.

A young Irish immigrant, William Forster, was a bricklayer on the site in 1889. He returned in 1924, as a successful builder, and purchased the mansion for his family. The next year, he passed away, leaving the home to his family. They converted the mansion into 4 apartments and stayed there until 1951.
